9th MAY, LONDON – French tennis icon Richard Gasquet is the latest name to be confirmed for the Legends Team Cup, joining Mark Philippoussis’ team ahead of the inaugural season.
Following his final appearance at Roland Garros and on the ATP tour, former World No. 7, Gasquet will join his teammates for the opening of the Legends Team Cup in St. Moritz. The global tennis series reunites some of the sport’s most iconic figures, allowing them to continue playing elite tennis after their ATP Tour careers, within a competitive, team-based format.
Gasquet, who has thrilled fans for over two decades with his flair and single-handed backhand, brings further pedigree to Team Philippoussis as they prepare to take on Team Blake in the opening clash of the Legends Team Cup calendar. The French star will be joining Bob Bryan, Marcos Baghdatis, Radek Stepanek, and Tommy Robredo to complete the team.
Legends Team Cup gives fans the chance to experience a brand-new era in legends tennis, set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most exclusive island destinations.
