9th MAY, LONDON – French tennis icon Richard Gasquet is the latest name to be confirmed for the Legends Team Cup, joining Mark Philippoussis’ team ahead of the inaugural event in St. Barthélemy, taking place on June 12–14, 2025.
Following his final appearance at Roland Garros and on the ATP tour, former World No. 7, Gasquet will head straight to the Caribbean to compete in the opening leg of the Legends Team Cup. The global tennis series reunites some of the sport’s most iconic figures, allowing them to continue playing elite tennis after their ATP Tour careers, within a competitive, team-based format.
Gasquet, who has thrilled fans for over two decades with his flair and single-handed backhand, brings further pedigree to Team Philippoussis as they prepare to take on Team Blake in the opening clash of the Legends Team Cup calendar. The French star will be joining Bob Bryan, Marcos Baghdatis, Radek Stepanek, and Tommy Robredo to complete the team.
Tickets for the St. Barthélemy event are now on sale here, giving fans the chance to experience the launch of a brand-new era in legends tennis, set against the backdrop of one of the world’s most exclusive island destinations. With $12 million in prize money on the line across the season and the Björn Borg Trophy at stake, the action in St. Barth promises to be high stakes and a show of world-class tennis.
